Biography
Rudi Nhocane (pronounced nyo-KAH-neh) is a Berlin-based DJ whose sounds bridges continents and cultures. Born and raised in Mozambique, Nhocane's earliest musical encounters were steeped in the percussive rhythms and rich traditions of Afro electronic music. After moving to Berlin, he immersed himself in the city's legendary underground scene, drawing inspiration from its house and techno movements. This unique journey shaped his signature style: deep, driving, and percussive sets that effortlessly shift into uplifting, high-energy moments on the dancefloor.He has performed at renowned venues and events including Bucht der Träumer Festival, Karneval der Kulturen, ACUD macht Neu CLUB, WDR COSMO Festival at Junkyard in Dortmund and YAYA FEST in Mozambique. In 2022, he co-founded the SACODE Collective, a Berlin-based platform dedicated to Afro electronic and Afro-diasporic sounds, creating spaces that celebrate community, rhythm, and cultural exchange.
